TRAIL CONDITIONS

High temps in high 30s to low 40s. Chances of snow on Saturday. Trail bases holding up well. Many areas continuing to groom into early April.


ABR TRAILS
Ironwood, MI

3/28- Awesome Spring skiing. 4 days left to ski at ABR we are closing April 1st at 6 PM.

AFTERHOURS CROSS COUNTRY SKI TRAIL/BRULE RIVER STATE FOREST

Brule, WI
3/15 - 16" of new snow on 3/14. Groomed on Friday, 3/15. Conditions: Good, but soft.

AMERICAN BIRKEBEINER TRAIL

Groomed from OO south to the Fish Hatchery on or around 3/21. OO north to McNaught Road 3-4 inches new snow over most recent grooming. Midwinter conditions.

BLUE HILLS TRAIL

3/28 - Sunshine and temperatures in the mid forties Thursday afternoon produced soft conditions and low skiing -- leaving one-inch chevrons. Anticipate the best skiing early to mid morning as the overnight crust softens as the sun hits the trail. The base is adequate all but on steeper south facing hills where the earliest bare spots have developed. Sheltered areas still have 12 or more inches of base.

LADYSMITH HIGH SCHOOL LIGHTEDXC TRAIL

Ladysmith, WI
The Ladysmith High School Lighted Trail received about 1" of new snow on March 20th. The skating lane was touched up on the 21st and a track for striding was reset in areas that had drifting snow. Conditions are very good and the lights are on until 10:00 p.m.

SUPERIOR MUNICIPAL TRAILS
Superior, WI

3/6- Fair condition, no new grooming is planned until there is new snow.

TELEMARK SKI TRAILS
Cable, WI

The Birkebeiner Loops, John Bauer and inbound Kortelopet trails were
groomed this morning, 3/26. The Tony Wise, World Cup, Bill Koch and the North End
Trail loops were groomed Friday 3/22. Trails and tracks are in excellent
condition.
Telemark trails will remain open at least through next weekend. The Hytte
recreation center is closed. Trail passes can be purchased in the lodge at
the Front Desk.

TIMBERLAND HILLS SKI TRAILS
Cumberland, WI

Good conditions. Trail was regroomed Friday, March 22, and the entire system was completed this time, for both skating and striding. Some exposed areas may be slushy or icy depending on temperature, but most of the trail is currently fairly firm and not at all spring-like. Plenty of base, not a single bare spot at this time.

TIMM'S HILL/HIGHPOINT SKI TRAILS

Ogema, WI
Conditions: Very good; to be groomed and tracked March 15; lighted night skiing is available on Wednesday and Saturday or for groups upon request.

ULLER TRAIL
Iron Belt/Montreal, WI

Uller packed and tracked on 3/21. Conditions: Very Good.

VEIKKO SKI TRAIL

Ungroomed back country trail.

WEST TORCH RIVER SKI TRAIL

Groomed: 3/19. Conditions: Fair to Good.

3/28 - We are reporting 17 km groomed for skating and striding, conditions excellent. We will continue to groom as long as we have skiable snow, possibly late April. We currently have 20-24" of base on the trails. Also the club is trying out a Piston Bully for grooming currently, and trail conditions are solid for skating.
