Falun, Sweden would be a great place to go for skiing. Falun has been the host of numerous XC World Championships and has many trails. It is about 120 miles northwest of Stockholm. I believe that you can take the train there if you don't have a car.
Stockholm, itself doesn not get skiable snow too often, being close to the ocean.
