This (photo) is a perfect example of the un-ending committment that Three
Rivers Park District, (formerly Hennepin Parks) has towards Nordic Skiing.
When there is snow, they have the best groomed trails around.

I wish for snow for everyone.

We skiers are always looking for a reason that there is no snow. Some say
it's global warming and some say that it's a cycle. Mark Lahtinen from the
Twin Cities wrote an intersting piece on the facts of snowfall that he dug
out of the archives. See
http://www.skinnyski.com/trails/articles/decembersnow.html

It's really pathetic this year. At our place in Tofte, MN which has an
annual average of around 90" of snow, there is virtually nothing on the
ground.

Good skiing and rollerskiing to you.

Scott, can you do a snow dance?

If anyone is going up north to ski this weekend, please bring us back a
few of these:

(they're hauling snow to Hyland Hills in Minneapolis for next weekend's
North Star Ski Festival...)
