I definitely agree, the "Wisconsin Sports Development Corp" just does not sit well with me for some reason, maybe I'm bitter over last year's race cancelation. The Wisconsin Ironman was terrific, but it's unlikely that the Wisconsin Sports Development Corp contributed anything unique to the event. The fact that it was a great race probably had everything to do with Madison itself, and the volunteers and spectators. Not being an insider, I guess I could be wrong though. You know what else irks me. The fact that camping reservations in Wisconsin are run by some nationwide corporate campsite outfit who profits off of state lands.
