For your information. They Seeley Hills classic will be held this Sat. Feb. 1. on the Birkie trail at 00. They will have a 5 K high school race and a 2.5 fun race for kids (good for middle schoolers). The adult race will be shortened about 5K since they south turnaround will be at the Gravel Pit. I hope some of you can make it. Registration is Friday Night from 5 -9 and Sat. morning 7 - 9 at the sawmill saloon. The racing will start at 10AM. The adult race first followed by the 5K and 2.5K.
The following is the entry in the Silent Sports calendar for the Seeley Hills race before it was postponed: SEELEY HILLS CLASSIC, 42K, 22K at 10 a.m., Birkebeiner Trail, Hayward Seeley, WI, start at OO warming building, $35/$45 after 12 1, $50 race day; awards in both, ski hat first 500, post race food; 2.5K kids race at 10:15 a.m. $3/$5 race day. Compacted the trail from edge to edge over the length of the seeley course. The birkie groomers will do the ends tomorrow. Plenty of snow for skating with good skis. 6-7" in the woods. Classic tracks will be tricky, but doable. Especially with a little more snow.
