I skied from Olin/Turville to the Kites On Ice around 3:00 pm.  The snow was
great, as long as you avoided the large fault upheaval near Kites.  In the
past, I've found that in going from Olin/Turville counterclockwise, one
could ski all the way to Monona on good snow.  This might be a good spot for
the Tuesday night race.   Errol Hartman
