I feel kind of bad about not getting to the mound before today, since it is quite good. As usual, you enter another climate zone at the base of the mound. The whole park is snow covered (believe it). Conditions are crusty snow and ice covered with about 3/4 inch of new snow. It could be a great couple weeks at the mound. In the campground you can rocket around at full speed and I skied most of the trails, being pretty dang cautious on the downhills. You will encounter some rocks, so leave the new boards at home. In an hour of skiing, I had one face plant and many smiles. The classic would have been ok also on blue kick wax. No grooming, but many interesting critter tracks. Pleasure valley didn't look skiable, I stayed up on the mound. Enjoy!
