Hi,

Still trying to setup a small cluster, I initially installed a clean
install of xcat-2.6.1 on centos 5.6.

After encountering the reverse zone issue and reading the replies
concerning the ddns.pm issue, I have decided to downgrade without
reinstalling the server from scratch.

I have dumpxCATdb all the tables I created, then proceeded according to

http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/xcat/index.php?title=Uninstalling_xCAT

to uninstall the current version (2.6.1). I didn't rm everything - I
mostly mv (mv /install{,.bak} etc...) , and completely skipped the
optional parts (rm OSS and key).

after setting yum to 2.5.3 repo everything installed correctly, and I
was able to restore most tables without issue (site wouldn't accept
,dnshandler, a few other minor issues like that) but I had to nodeadd
all the nodes again - just restoring the nodelist table and friends
didn't work.

makedhcp and makedns both completed successfully (I restarted the
relevant daemon after each command).

The current issue is an infinite install cycle - as far as I an tell
postscripts are fully installed, yet chain never changes from install to
boot. If I nodeset n01 boot I can work on the node and it seems to be
configured correctly, aside from one issue - it doesn't have the
domainname (it is n01.local instead of n01.dom01).

the domain is configure correctly in site table (and /etc/hosts and
/etc/dhcpd.conf), and the mn is the dns server (defined both in site and
networks, and using IP in noderes).

Can anyone help, please?
