The env won't have rpm, yum or any such thing, but it will be dracut script
based.  Ergo, modifying a dracut install line will let you make a new
instance from parts of your management node if you are running something
like RHEL6 (handling lib requirements for you).  No worse than before for
SLES users, just a bonus if you happen to have that sort of management
node. (xCAT-nbroot2 directory in svn has the current dracut scripts btw).
I have no idea what Dell has in the repo.
