Well, for a sanity check, run 'xcatclient getrvidparms <vm>'
then manually run vncviewer against <hypervisor>:<portnumber> and
type/paste the getrvidparms to see if it worked....

If that works, then do set -x in rvid.kvm like you did before and observe
the invocation of vncviewer.  Try that invocation at the cli and see if it
complains in a way suggesting it has no idea what 'passwdInput' means.

 echo $rvid_password|vncviewer :$myport -via $rvid_server AutoSelect=0
FullColor=1 passwdInput=1

For the sake of expediency, I'd probably upgrade vnc client to one that has
script-amenable password facility (or figure out how your vncviewer can be
scripted and let me know).  If you wish I can also take some time to work a
configurable 'no password, rely solely upon ssh' option back in, but I may
lag a bit.  Or I could review a patch to correct if someone beats me to it.

If this guidance is off base, may warrant one more pass of
getrvidparms/rvid.kvm set -x output..
