HI,

The nfs caching is built-in feature with nfs, it means that nfs client will
not write the info back to the nfs server immediately, it will cache for a
while before writing the data back to nfs server, I do not know for sure on
how to tuning the nfs cache, but with the default settings on AIX, I
noticed the nfs cache interval is about one minute, i.e., the nfs client
will write the nfs data back to the nfs server about every one minute,
Linux might have similar default configuration.

Thanks,

Subject: [xcat-user] Statelite - NFS client cache

Hello,

In the xCAT manual it is mentioned that "NFS caching on the client helps
reduce the network traffic". Does anyone know where this is configured? I
can't find anything in the docs about it.

Thanks,

Eric
