Alright, I checked out the snmp tree given and this is what I see:

IF-MIB::ifName.1 = STRING: 1
IF-MIB::ifName.2 = STRING: 2
IF-MIB::ifName.3 = STRING: 3
IF-MIB::ifName.4 = STRING: 4

IF-MIB::ifName.18 = STRING: 18
IF-MIB::ifName.19 = STRING: 19
IF-MIB::ifName.20 = STRING: 20

IF-MIB::ifName.49 = STRING: A1
IF-MIB::ifName.50 = STRING: A2
IF-MIB::ifName.51 = STRING: B1
IF-MIB::ifName.52 = STRING: B2
IF-MIB::ifName.54 = STRING: Trk1
IF-MIB::ifName.174 = STRING: DEFAULT_VLAN
IF-MIB::ifName.193 = STRING: VLAN20

I then set the port description on port 1 to the node name and
re-queried the tree and have the exact same output as above.
Unfortunately this isn't going to work for autodiscovery and we have
moved on to harvesting the MAC addresses manually. Thanks for the
suggestion.
