Hi A PXE boot issue appeared yesterday. For some reason all HS22 servers couldn't boot via PXE. The issue described here http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg3T1016326, but I have HS22 servers, not IBM x3850 X5. The provided fix worked in my case. Is anyone else has/had this problem?
I'm running xCAT 2.7.3, using syslinux-xcat-3.86-2.noarch (should I try different version on syslinux, ie http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/boot/syslinux/3.xx/syslinux-3.86.tar.bz2) Have latest updates for HS22 (applied yesterday in attempt to resolve the problem). The only fix that worked is provided in the link above. This is how pxeboot file looks now #boot DEFAULT xCAT LABEL xCAT MENU LABEL Boot from first hard drive COM32 chain.c32 APPEND hd0 0 I also needed to update /opt/xcat/lib/perl/xCAT_plugin/pxe.pm file to generate bootfile above. -- Thank you, Dmitri Chebotarov Virtual Computing Lab Systems Engineer, TSD - Ent Servers & Messaging 223 Aquia Building, Ffx, MSN: 1B5 Phone: (703) 993-6175 Fax: (703) 993-3404 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
