Interesting, I have deployed esxi 5.1 with success without issue.  Is the template stock or custom?  I did have a more locked down template where I had to manipulate firewall configuration more carefully to allow it to be enabled yet still speak xCAT...

Subject: [xcat-user] ESXi 5.1 with xCAT

Hi

I'm trying to load ESXi 5.1 with xCAT 2.7.4 and there is connection problem on the step when ESXi 5.1 sends 'nextdestiny' to xCAT master.
On this step ESXi 5.1 is unable to connect to master_ip:3001 (errno=29) . I've also tried 'nc -z master_ip 3001' with the same results - connection times out.
At the same time I can ping master_ip and can connect to other ports , i.e. 'nc -z master_ip 80' works fine.

The strange part is when I omit 'reboot' command in ks script and manually execute '/bin/openssh ...' is works OK.

ESXi 4.1 loads OK on the same host.

Anyone tried to load ESXi 5.1 with xCAT?
