We have a How-To section that we would be glad for you to contribute to.
http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/xcat/index.php?title=HowTos

If you need to change our code, it can only be reviewed and accepted, if
you sign a Contributor's agreement. This is documented in the following
under "Contributor and Maintainers Agreements"
http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/xcat/index.php?title=XCAT_Developer_Guide

In either case for code to change, open a SF bug with the problem. If you
cannot sign the agreement, do not give us a sample fix, we cannot use it
and should not see it.

Thanks, we need people like you to test other environments like Debian.

That didn't do it - I suspect there are additional files missing. When I
have some time today, I'm going to go through the source and see what I can
find.

If I write up a page on making this work (or update the plugin) can I
expect it will be accepted as a contibution?

I have never tried Debian. It looks like the nodeset command is

      It does.

      $ ls /install/debian6.0.6/x86_64/
      autorun.inf firmware isolinux README.mirrors.html tools
      css g2ldr md5sum.txt README.mirrors.txt
      win32-loader.ini
      debian g2ldr.mbr pics README.source
      dists install pool README.txt
      doc install.amd README.html setup.exe

      However, I dont have a /tftpboot/xcat/debian6.0.6 directory.

I can't find a way to get more verbose output or any debug output
(for nodeset). If you're able to point me in the right direction for
some of that, I may be able to figure this out myself.

      Hey all,
I'm having very little luck finding directions for this online, but

I'd like to use xCat (installed on CentOS) to kickstart some of my
      nodes
to debian. I notice that there is a comppute template in
/opt/xcat/share/xcat/install/debian/. I've downloaded all the debian

stable DVDs and imported them using copycds. However, when I go to
      set
a node to do a debian install I get:

      # nodeset node001 install=debian6.0.6-x86_64-compute
Error: Install image not found in /install/debian6.0.6/x86_64
Error: Some nodes failed to set up install resources, aborting

I'd appreciate any assistance or a pointer towards any resources that

      will help me.

      Thanks!
      Steve
