Hello all,
I have read through the mailing list and several websites (benincosa.com
sumavi.com sourceforge.net google etc) for anyone who has mentioned this and I
seem to be the first, so I am wondering if I might be doing wrong. ( skip to
the "code used and results" for more details )

# Background
#+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The fallowing works on my esxi4.1/xcat2.6/CentOS6.2 systems; mkvm makes a
usable host! However, I have yet to have mkvm create a "vguest" with a NIC on
an esx5 system. I have installed several versions and even pulled xcat from
SVN ( as suggested in previous posts on the mailing list) to no avail. ( I have
gone as far as to delete all installed packages and configs to make sure
nothing is interfering.

Used in the esxi5 system:
   VMware-vSphere-CLI-5.0.0-615831.x86_64.tar.gz ( with both xcat
2.6 and 2.7 )
   VMware-vSphere-Perl-SDK-5.1.0-780721.x86_64.tar.gz ( with both xcat 2.6 and
2.7 )
   CentOS6.3 and 6.2 ( with both xcat 2.6 and 2.7 & both esx5 SDKs )
xCat from yum repo and SVN presently using xCAT-2.7.5-snap201210162320.x86_64
   VMware-VMvisor-Installer-5.0.0.update01-623860.x86_64.iso

The working esxi4.1 systems
   VMware-VMvisor-Installer-4.1.0-260247.x86_64.iso
   VMware-vSphere-Perl-SDK-4.1.0-254719.x86_64.tar.gz
   CentOS6.2 and CentOS6.3

I am grateful for your suggestions,
Merci et takk fyrir,
Hro
