I've deployed autogpfs with my stateless images on an iDataplex cluster
and was able to add an sshbetweennodes nodes entry to my site tab so only
the login node and GPFS storage nodes are getting the private key, which I
think is a nice security enhancement. Everything worked great, expect I
needed to change the init script so that it ran AFTER the xcatpostinit
init script. We run GPFS on Infiniband and have a post script that
configures IB and blocks until IB starts (since it can take a little while
for IB to correctly startup). Since the autogpfsc.pl has to attach on the
same interface that is registered in GPFS, autogpfsc.pl was blocking the
boot of the node trying to connect on an interface that wasn't plumbed
yet. I suppose it would be the same if you where running GPFS on anything
other then eth0. I changed the chkconfig line in the init script to:
# chkconfig: 345 62 24
Can this change get rolled into any future updates to the autogpfs system?
If not, I can write a postscript that runs the autogpfsc.pl client in a
similar way as the init script after the IB interface is up.
