David,
1. Since there is 0 response of your running of "lsslp -m -z -s CMM",
please make sure the network condition is OK. Or you can try "lsslp" to see
if there is any response.
2. Slpdiscover is used in xCAT 2.7.x and has been replaced by "lsslp
--flexdiscover" in xCAT 2.8. Please use slpdiscover if you are using xCAT
2.7.x. I have modified the related document.

Best Regards,

Subject: [xcat-user] lsslp -m -z -s CMM reports no output and lsslp
            --flexdiscover option does not exist

Hello,

We are trying to install a Flex cluster based on 15 x chassis of x240
compute nodes.

Following this document:

http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/xcat/index.php?title=XCAT_system_x_support_for_IBM_Flex

We found that the following command does not seem to produce any output:

# lsslp -m -z -s CMM
Sending SLP request on interfaces:
10.58.58.252,172.30.64.31,172.16.1.2,10.58.64.31 ...
Received 0 responses.

4 requests with 0 responses. Now processing responses. This will take 0-1
minutes...
No responses

I have run the command several times and one one of the Flex CMMs responded
but never since.
The CMMs are on 10.58.58.252 and I have tried using the -i to restrict it
to that network but it still does not work.

Also we found that the --flexdiscover argument does not exist:

# lsslp --flexdiscover
Invalid Argument: --flexdiscover

We have had a quick chat with one of the xCAT engineering team so some
people may be aware of these issues already.

We are running xCAT 2.7.6 with xcat-dep-201212210343 installed I think.
lsslp --version reports 2.7.6.

Regards,

David
