Hi,

I'd recommend you ssh to the node in question and query it's ipmi locally, just to confirm that it's settings are correct.

{On redhat based systems)
yum install ipmitool
modprobe ipmi_si
modprobe ipmi_devintf
ipmi -l open lan print 1

From here you should be able to work backwards to trace the point of the problem.

Kind Regards,

Hi,

I'm having some problems with xCAT's rcommands. The rcommands have stopped working. Specifically for example, 'rpower'

# rpower node48 stat
yields:
node48: Error: timeout.

Using
# ipmitool-xcat -I lanplus -H node48-imm -U <> P <> power status
yields
Error: Unable to establish IPMI v2 / RMCP+ session
Unable to get Chassis Power Status

I'm new to xCAT and recently started to work on clusters. I've checked the ipmi name that it is right and all the tables for syntax and the right entry. Can anyone please point me where I should be looking?

Thank you.

Sincerely,
