In addition to the more commonly used x86_64, ppc64, and s390x
architectures, we also currently we build an i386 version of the xCAT and
xCATsn rpms, and we have some of the dependency rpms in the xcat-dep
tarball built for i386/i586. But because we haven't kept up with that, I
think the last person (that i know of) that tried to install xCAT on a 32
bit linux machine had several dependency issues. Supporting 32 bit
hardware isn't a priority for us anymore (for obvious reasons), so instead
of straightening out the 32 bit dependency rpm issues, i would rather
discontinue building the i386 version of xCAT, and remove the i386/i586
dependency rpms from future builds of xcat-dep. Would anyone be
heartbroken if we do this? Or more to the point, does anyone have a strong
requirement to install xCAT 2.8 (or future versions) on 32 bit hardware?
