Hi - I'm having an issue setting the correct network adapter when running
`mkvm`. What I have in Vcenter is a switch called "dev-nx1", and under that
there are a bunch of vlans labeled pv2500, pv2501, pv2502, etc. Looking at
another VM with a working network adapter, the "Network label" is set to
something like "pv2500 (dev-nx1)". Based on that, I set my vmnics attribute
to "pv2500 (dev-nx1)"; however, when I create the VM, rather than using the
existing network label with that name, it creates a new network label with
the same name ("pv2500 (dev-nx1)") but it's not associated with any switch
. I've validated this because when I look under networking in vcenter, I
see the new label created with no associated switch.
I'm pretty sure I'm doing this wrong. What I'm thinking is vmnics (or a
combination of other attributes) should be defined in a way such that both
the switch and the vlan are specified so the network label associated with
the network adapter is set correctly. And by correctly, I mean it uses the
existing network labels rather than creating new ones.
Here's the object definition prior to me running the mkvm command:
$ lsdef dicv10596

I'm looking for any direction on this. I hope this makes sense, but please
let me know if you need any more info.
