Ok, See Jim Turner's response. We tried the fix from Jim and it did fix the problem. Have to investigate why.

Did you try the suggestion to? run yum --enablerepo=xcat-dep clean metadata I have been doing upgrades constantly, but have not try a new install lately and we don't test SL.
