I think we should only check into 2.9 as Guang Cheng mentions below. We
are very late in the release now for 2.8.4 and have to stop changes to
start our final testing. If you want to provide a patch for 2.8.4 on a
defect that would be fine.

3. Jarrod Johnson is working on a new module to replace the 3rd party
conserver, the current plan is to include this in xCAT 2.9. xCAT
development team will take care of this when we decided to put the new
module in.
