HI Markus,
Did you update from some xCAT 2.8.4 pre-GA snapshot build to this GA
version(20140512 build)? The development team modified the code logic of
creating xcat.conf twice during the development cycle, I guess the later
change did not cover the situation in which the user already installed some
specific version of pre-GA xCAT 2.8.4 snapshot build.
If you manually re-install the package
xCAT-2.8.4-snap201405120509.x86_64.rpm, it should be able to fix the
problem.
rpm -Uvh xCAT-2.8.4-snap201405120509.x86_64.rpm --replacefiles
service httpd stop
service httpd start
The xCAT development team will look further into this problem and come up
with a restriction and workarounds, or a fix if we think there will be many
users get affected.

1) the os release, the output of:
# cat /etc/*release
2) the httpd/apache version, the output of:
#rpm -qa|grep -E '(http|apache)'
or
#dpkg -l|grep -E '(http|apache)'
3) the previous xcat release that you updated from

Hi,
After updating to xCAT-2.8.4-snap201405120509.x86_64 the /install
directory of the xcatmaster's httpd is not available any more because
the file /etc/httpd/conf.d/xcat.conf is missing. Is this intended?
