Just to follow up...thanks, that was it:
pkgdir in linuximage table, fixed that and it rinstall'ed. Since our
non-osimage rinstalls still work, I guess pkgdir field isn't being used
unless I try an osimage install? Weird!

Now we have a dhcp issue to diagnose on a different hardware type, so I'm
putting it back the way it was for now, one thing at a time!
