host is not an xCAT command
What level of xCAT are you running, what OS and Architecture.
Run lsxcatd -a
What documentation did you follow for setting up the xCAT MN and nodes?

Subject: [xcat-user] host returns erroneous results xCAT
Hi Team
I am facing some issue with name resolution.
When I do host <nodename> I get strange IP for the first time and nothing
the second time.
example:-
first time:-
host node1
node1 has address 198.105.244.23
node1 has address 198.105.254.23
Host node1 not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)
second time:-
host node1
Host node1 not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)
Also,
when I do
nodeset node1 install
I get:-
nodeset node1 install
node1: Error: Unable to identify plugin for this command, check relevant
tables: noderes.netboot;nodehm.mgt
please help
