I would leave noderes.installnic blank and let BOOTIF be ok.

If you really want, have noderes.installnic=eth0 (nodech <nodes>
noderes.installnic=eth0)

Subject: [xcat-user] RHEL7 and ksdevice

I'm running xCAT 2.8.5 on SL6.4 master, imaging a centos 7 image. When I issue
an rinstall command, the ksdevice in bootparams table for the node gets changed
from an interface name such as eth0, to the mac address of that interface. My
workaround for now is to quickly edit the resulting pxe file to fix the
ksdevice value before the file gets used.

But I would like to know where in the code to look for the origins of this, so
we can try to patch it.
