/etc/acpi/events/power.conf in CentOS6 is generally the portion responsible for responding to softoff in a server scenario (unless logged into a desktop environment..). I'd check for any custom files under /etc/acpi. I might also: ]# fuser /proc/acpi/event /proc/acpi/event: 1451 [root@odin firmware]# ps 1451 PID TTY STAT TIME COMMAND 1451 ? Ss 0:00 /usr/sbin/acpid
Verify that acpid is the thing paying attention to /proc/acpi/event -----Original Message----- From: Christopher J. I think we also had the same issue with a couple of quad socket AMD machines - Model 7164 as well. Chris > > > > From: "Christopher J.
