Put confluent to github is good since it's very popular as a code
repository.
But for your points that how to easy non-maintainer to contribute code,
does github have mail list? And could it be doable to assign non-maintainer
permission to create branch and raise pull request but cannot merge change
in master branch?

Does anyone have any objections to switching over at least the confluent
repository to github as the primary git origin?
I'm also suggesting that the flow for contributors that are not maintainers
can either be:
-patch submitted to mailing list
-pull request on github
-Some other publicly accessible git origin
