RHEL6 should be fine.  I will confess that Lenovo's test hasn't fully done 2.11 
yet so I can't be sure, but my development environent features EL6 prominently 
(as management node and as a compute node).

FWIW, I hope to expend some effort on automated daily tests on Lenovo equipment 
of the supported active branches.  We did some work to automate the build for 
confluent and will take that further to include build and test of xCAT.  
Currently it deals with EL6, SLES11, EL7, and SLES12.  Would be adding Ubuntu 
LTS and actual Lenovo equipment for testing node management and deployment 
(same OSes as mgt node, and Windows and ESXi variants.

I see no mention of RHEL 6 support there, is it still in place and just not 
mentioned because there is no RHEL 6.8 yet, or has it been dropped ?
