By coincidence maybe, we have someone here looking at the genesis/rsyslog issue this week on the xCAT dev team, hopefully will have a pull request in Github soon.

Do you mean the xCAT team ? The configuration I'm using (see my last message) is
working for me. I would prefer not to hardcode the syslog server address, but
that'll do it for now.
