Just wanted to share a tool I wrote to make my life easier: https://github.com/ncsa/xcat-tools
Filters tabdump output through a python script to column align the output and optionally, exclude unused columns. The python script allows proper recognition of embedded commas in fields (such as in the postscripts table). I suggest aliasing this as 'td', so that any existing scripts expecting the default tabdump output don't break. Cheers, --Andy
