Generally, you could get the status from the node.status attribute. 'synced' means updatenode succeeded; 'failed' means there were certain postscripts failed.

If you run 'updatenode' it will log the operation on either the master node or the service node, depending on how the node(s) in question is(are) configured.

Hi,
   I have an informative question, When I perform a node update, should be able xCAT to provide assurance that changes are applied?
For instance there is a log file in the management node that provides the node status like “done” , “need update” and the version or the date of the last update ?
