That was absolutely the problem.  Thank you.  Now on to the next thing.

On a side-note, are there any really good documentation pages for
getting started with xCAT?  I've been trying to follow this one
(http://xcat-docs.readthedocs.io/en/stable/overview/quick_start.html),
but I keep finding things that I somehow missed.  If there's a better
place to start, that might save me a lot of trouble.
