Log is always used for diagnostic and debug, it would be useful when there's something wrong happens and you need to figure out why. So recommend to rotate it as delete the log which generated 1 month ago.

It never gets used in our environment, so it only takes space (grows about 4 GB daily) while not providing any real benefit to us specifically.

Hello,

I'm trying to figure out the best way to disable, for example, the commands.log.

I know I can logrotate it to mange it's size, but from looking at the source (https://github.com/xcat2/xcat-core/blob/master/xCAT-server/sbin/xcatd) I couldn't find any tunable to simply disable this listener.

I could just comment out all ""# ----used for command log" sections, but I was hoping for some site table key to simply disable this.

If none exists - what would be the simplest way to implement such a mechanism on my own?

My perl proficiency is not great, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
