On the DNS side, things aren't too picky if you manage that by hand.  There's 
even some support for using MS DNS server in makedns, but I haven't done that 
in years.

The DHCP is a tricky problem.  Support for coexistence with uncontrolled dhcp 
server is actually planned, but not done yet.  I could imagine manual effort to 
support netboot method 'pxe', but 'xnba' requires too much complexity out of 
the DHCP server to do manually.
