On the DNS side, things aren't too picky if you manage that by hand. There's even some support for using MS DNS server in makedns, but I haven't done that in years.
The DHCP is a tricky problem. Support for coexistence with uncontrolled dhcp server is actually planned, but not done yet. I could imagine manual effort to support netboot method 'pxe', but 'xnba' requires too much complexity out of the DHCP server to do manually. -----Original Message----- From: Siddharth Tiwari [mailto:siddharth.tiw...@live.com] Sent: Monday, July 31, 2017 4:32 AM To: xcat-user@lists.sourceforge.net Subject: [xcat-user] Using external DNS and DHCP server Hi Team, I have an enterprise wide external DHCP and DNS running in server 2016, can someone guide me how can I make sure xcat uses it rather than the DHCP it uses internally ? Please note, both xcat and server 2016 are on same network, we are not very large yet to have multiple networks.
