We had a problem where certain names were not being resolved, where the forwarder is a dnsmasq (to handle round-robin names and other wacky stuff). It was determined by trial-and-error that this line in /etc/named.conf: allow-recursion ( any; ); was the culprit. We commented out the line completely and now the lookups work.
Is there a knob in xcat that we can set to prevent this line from being generated?
