currently, `localdisk` only support "mbr" partitions. But I think this is a reasonable feature for us, you can open a feature request in https://github.com/xcat2/xcat-core,  we can plan this in the following development sprints.

 

Now, you can modify "/opt/xcat/share/xcat/netboot/add-on/statelite/rc.localdisk" by yourself to support GPT partitions. sorry for inconvenience

I am currently in the midst of setting up nodes for Statelite with a large local scratch disk as per https://sourceforge.net/p/xcat/wiki/XCAT_Linux_Statelite/#enabling-the-localdisk-option

 

I have two local disks, one that is 600GB for some local reference files and another that is ~11TB for local scratch. 

 

The first is setup ok, but the second is failing. It appears that it is attempting to create a partition with a MSDOS disk label, as it is failing as per the following log messages.

Is there any magic to get it to create a GPT partition, or any plans to support this in the future?
