Have you tried running "xcatprobe osdeploy" right after "rinstall" ? (
https://xcat-docs.readthedocs.io/en/stable/advanced/probe/osdeploy.html)
It should print out steps of the provisioning process and perhaps will
point you to the step that takes longer than it should.

Dear all,
             We are facing a problem of slow booting, and always ending up
with few nodes hanging up in the middle during the booting process. Often
needs to rpower again. If each computing node takes 4-5 minutes, how long
does it take for large number of computing nodes or at least what is the
maximum expected time. I have a single copy of the image in the master node
from where netboot copies for a diskless deployment. Do we need to split
the number of nodes to be booted at a time, just for the limitation of the
speed of the copy process. Any pointer to fix the problem would be greatly
appreciated.
