I don't think it will cause to provision the compute node. anyway, you may remove `169.254` ip address from network table, then run "makedns -n ", that should get rid of "169.254" address from named.conf

The effect of this is that the head node has 2 entries in the local DNS cache. One for its private IP address (in /etc/hosts) and one for the other address which is not reachable by the compute nodes. The other IP address is just used by the HW management utilities for internal communications and is a 169.x.x.x address.
