One other thing that can go wrong with TFTP is if there is NAT between
client and server. TFTP is not NAT-safe out of the box; it does some funky
things with the port numbers. It needs a helper. I also had to do some
nftables massaging to get it to work.

Since you already found the problem for you, this was obviously not the
problem for you, just wanted to mention it for the benefit of people who
look through the archive for TFTP-related issues.
