Hello all, There’s a way to automate the creation of the RAID devices with help of the Dell racadm tool (see sequence) below. You can use the tool also to set BIOS/UEFI parameters and gather hw/sw information. Paralelization could be accoumplished with a loop and fork-ed background processes.

Yes, I did mean R6525! In our case we haven't configured RAID. There are a couple of hard disks in the box, but Dell installed the wrong controller (that doesn't support RAID). Dell is sending a replacement card which should hopefully arrive soon. So, are you saying that not setting up RAID is the likely issue here, and that we should wait until the RAIDing card arrives and experiment with xcat again? We could be making heavy weather of the situation. Apart for the RAID issue, are there any important lines that we should put in the kickstart file? I recently installed some of these, and it sounds like you might have forgotten to set up the RAID.
