Hello all, I am trying to install xCAT on rhel9 (I know it is not supported) and currently facing some issues. Has anyone already successfully installed xCAT on rhel9 and can share some insights?
More specifically, I am currently facing an issue with building ipmitool-xcat, which seems to be built on rhel8, even the version on the rh9 xcat-dep. It looks for older version of libreadline which is not available for rhel9. Trying to build the package on rhel9 (after adding two lines to pass the initial checker) fail with some error messages that are not very clear (to me). I need to do some more debugging here, but I thought there is a good chance someone already faced and solved it. Of course there is a good chance I am missing something basic here. THX in advance!
