Hello,
running
xCAT-server-2.17.0-snap202411131534.noarch on
Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 8.8 (Ootpa)
4.18.0-477.43.1.el8_8.x86_64 kernel
I have an issue after dnf-upgrading the OS from 8.8 to 8.10 coming from
the xcat dracut module:
1. dracut shows the following errors (which could be "legit" as source
files actually may not exist)
dracut-install: ERROR: installing 'vconfig'

2. After reboot, xcat dracut module loops endlessly at cmdline stage on:
screen -dr doxcat
screen -S doxcat -L -ln doxcat
which leaves me unable to end the boot
I've tested rebuilding the initialramfs without the xcat module and the
os boots fine
Do you have any clue about what could be going on ?
Thinking about it thanks to a personnal answer from someone here, I
think this module may have been copied by myself by hand.
I'm not 100% sure.
In other words : can someone confirm that no xcat dracut module is
supposed to be present on the *host* controller node (as opposed to
stateless chroot for instance) ?
Thanks for your help
