If you sent the attachment, then it was likely stripped off the email
by the opencircuitdesign mail server. Try sending me the attachment
directly.

The "background PS" can be flaky and depends on many factors, including
the version of ghostscript, the version of xcircuit, and I have seen
different behavior depending on what computer it is compiled on.

I'm not sure what version of xcircuit you're using, but generally I
recommend that you use the "Import->Graphic Image" feature instead of
the background PS, especially if the original file is itself a pixel
image instead of PostScript. On a good day, if you have the ImageMagick
"convert" program in the standard path, then you can directly import
the PNG file. XCircuit only reads raw PPM files, so xcircuit execs
"convert" to get the PPM file. If that doesn't work, then use gimp
(or "xv"; doesn't seem so popular these days but I like it better than
the gimp for doing simple things) to convert to raw PPM (otherwise known
as P6 format).

                                        Regards,
                                        Tim
