Yeah, Dash’s UI was very … quirky in its initial release. It’s been polished a lot since then. Actually I don’t use Dash to browse Apple developer docs; I find Xcode OK for that. What makes Dash great for me is that it supports dozens of other languages/platforms/APIs like C++, JavaScript, node.js, Ruby, Go, SQLite… For me it was worth the $$ just for the Go and C++ support. (Also, I’m pretty sure you can download Dash direct from the developer, not just from the App store, and spend some time using it for free before paying up.) —Jens
