Is the DLog macro #ifdef’d so it does nothing in a Release build? If so, the 
Release build will generate those warnings since the variable isn’t being used.

You can work around this by prefixing the variable’s declaration with 
“__unused” so signal that it’s OK if the value isn’t used.
