Deployment target is minimum version of OSX you want to support
Base SDK is the SDK which your code is linked with (compiled).
If you need to compile with 10.10 or even lower SDK then you have to
download Xcode6, extract the SDK from Platforms folder and copy it to
Xcode7 platforms folder.
The only valid reason not to use new SDK is that deprecated function was
removed in the new SDK (e.g. the new SDK doesn't contain method/class
anymore).
