I just ponied up for Git-Tower.

It works.  Could do with less useless animation, but it doesn't crash on Git 
commits and actually lets me commit and push.

Seriously.  These Xcode issues on 7.0 and 7.0.1 are off of an install of El 
Capitan that was done off a fresh install of the previous OS on a MBP 15 Retina 
(upgrading to El Cap, well that's another story).  This is a pretty vanilla 
setup.  A Git commit is kinda a normal thing that developers have been known to 
do once or twice.

Back to shipping apps.
