Two things on this one. Make sure there is no code signing on frame work if possible and when copied in to the target app in the Build Phases, select Code Sign on Copy.
And the case of it not working on iOS 8 was a false flag. The vendor didn't have all the launch screens in place and the iPhone 6 that I used that had iOS 8 on it was exactly the size of the screen that was missing. In the case of missing launch screens or launch screens that are not able to fill in for the expected graphics, iOS will just display an all white screen. Fun times. Hope this helps someone.
